IDENTIFICATON
Schwinn Le Tour D424733 is a 1974 LT-3 in
Opaque Red. The serial number is located on left dropout
between fork-end and eyelet.
Japan-made Le Tours from 1974-1978 use code of first letter for month and first number for year. Serial number D4***** was manufactured in April (D) 1974 (4).
The 1974 Schwinn catalog lists the 23" frame as model LT-3. 1974 Le Tour colors were: Opaque Blue, Opaque Red and Kool Lemon.
An Opaque Red Le Tour is pictured in the 1975 Schwinn catalog.
